My name is Joost Peschier and my wife´s name is Annemarie Peschier. At the moment we live in Meedhuizen. Meedhuizen is a little town in the province of Groningen in the northern part of The Netherlands. Before we moved to Meedhuizen we lived in the neighbourhood of Noordwijk aan Zee. This is a small town in The Netherlands, close to the North Sea beaches. You can make endless walks together with your dogs along the beach. We specially liked those walks in stormy wheather. This explains our kennelname ´Von Nordsee Sturm´.
Since 1979 we are members of the Dutch Vereniging van Fokkers en Liefhebbers van Duitse Herdershonden (VDH) and since 1983 we are also members of the German Schutzhund Verein (SV).
In 1982 we bought our first German Shepherd from the kennel of Van Alexyrvohof, then owned by Gert Bolkenstein Senior.
With this dog, Erro van Alexyrvohof,
started our enthusiasm and love for the German Shepherd Dog.
In 1985 I qualified myself with Erro for the Dutch Trials Championship and reached the 29th position.
In September 1986 we bought the female Xilke von Arjakjo. Xilke became the motherdog of our kennel 'Von Nordsee Sturm'.
The most striking breeding results of our kennel are the two males Adam and Harrie von Nordsee Sturm. On the German Hauptzuchtschau Adam became V35 and Harrie V25.
The male Falk von Nordsee Sturm became Dutch Champion on the open Dutch Breed Conformation Siegershow.
Beauty and good training ability can go together. This was proven by Adam von Nordsee Sturm during several Siegershows in 1991. We mainly breed dogs with focus on the exterior and excellent physical shape. So now and then we breed combinations of working- and exteriorlines. In the Picture Galery on this website you'll find Uzi von Nordsee Sturm as an example of the results of this breedingline. Every year we breed two to five litters. Itīs our goal to breed healthy and beautiful dogs with a good working ability and a fine social character.
